“I have confidence in the following products for their consistent quality and performance. I recommend them to our patients”

Restylane (including Restylane Lift)
Restylane is an injectable gel which should be administered by a trained, medically qualified practitioner.
Restylane enhances your natural looks by restoring your skin’s volume, creating softness and revitalizing your appearance.
How it works
Youthful skin is rich in hyaluronic acid. As we age, the distribution and function of hyaluronic acid in our skin gradually change, leading to the characteristic signs of aging.
Restylane gels work by enhancing your skin’s own stocks of hyaluronic acid, directly adding volume to either soften the signs of aging or enhance your features.
The procedure is quick. It usually takes less than 30 minutes. The benefits can be seen immediately.
Millions of people have used Restylane with confidence. It is the world’s most widely used product based on hyaluronic acid for esthetic enhancement.
Restylane is safe
Restylane safety and efficacy is proven beyond a doubt, with robust clinical data spanning a decade. Adverse reactions to Restylane are rare.
Restylane is natural
The uniquely produced hyaluronic acid gel of Restylane closely resembles natural hyaluronic acid. This reduces the risk of an inflammatory reaction or other side effects.
Restylane is long lasting but not permanent
Restylane gives you flexibility and control over your looks. Because your face changes shape as you age, you want to avoid a permanent look you might regret in years to come.
Restylane is nonanimal
In contrast to some other hyaluronic acid-based products, the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not extracted from animals. This means there is no risk of transmitting disease or eliciting allergic reactions if you are sensitive to common foods, such as chicken and eggs.
Restylane is quick and easy.
Restylane treatment usually fits in well with busy lifestyles, with minimal downtime, and gives results that can be seen instantly.
How Is Restylane Produced?
Restylane is produced by Q-Med AB in Sweden under strict laboratory conditions to obtain a high degree of product purity.
Q-Med is a rapidly growing biotechnology/medical device company. Q-Med develops, produces, markets and sells implants for esthetic and medical use. All products are based on the company’s patented NASHA™ technology.
If you injected hyaluronic acid in its natural form into the body, it would break down in just a few days, and any treatment benefit would be very short-lived. The unique stabilization process patented by Q-Med and used in the manufacture of Restylane results in a hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. This provides long-lasting treatment benefits and minimizes the risk of a skin reaction.
Designed specifically for lips and the lines around them
Restylane Silk has recently been approved for release in the United States! It’s the first and only FDA-approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth in patients over 21 years of age.
How does Restylane Silk work?
Just like the other members of the Restylane family, Restylane Silk is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid — a sugar that is naturally present in your skin.
What Is JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel?
As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with Juvéderm™ injectable gel, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen!
Juvéderm™ is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Your healthcare professional eases Juvéderm™ injectable gel under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).
Juvéderm™ provides a smooth, natural look and feel—so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! In fact, studies show superior results of Juvéderm™ compared to a collagen-based dermal filler.†
•Almost 90% of all study volunteers who were treated with both Juvéderm™ injectable gel and another dermal filler† preferred Juvéderm™!
•Juvéderm™ injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.
With Juvéderm™ the injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into your doctor’s office for treatment and step right back into your life.*
Juvéderm™ is indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).
†The other dermal filler used in this study was ZYPLAST® dermal filler (bovine-based collagen).
Important JUVÉDERM™ Treatment Considerations
Juvéderm™ Ultra and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus are indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds). Side effects were usually mild to moderate lasting 7 days or less and included temporary injection site reactions like redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bumps. Sculptra-Aesthetic (Liquid FaceLift)
Injectable poly-L-lactic acid Sculptra (formally known as New-Fill) was approved for use in the U.S. in 2006.I has beenused in estimated 150,000 patients and in more than 30 countries with such great success that it has been called the “liquid face lift”. This non-invasive treatment corrects the deepest of creases and wrinkles with long-term results using a biodegradable material called “poly-L- lactic acid”. Studies have shown that Sculptra’s potency can even correct lipoatrophy, a condition that causes facial fat loss. Using numbing medication to minimize discomfort, Sculptra is injected using a fine needle. It works by stimulating collagen production in the skin and fills in what has been lost with age. Results are gradual, and depending on the level of improvement desired and the severity of the problem, anywhere between 3 to 5 monthly treaments may be needed. Once the desired look is achieved, this semi-permanent treatment appears to last greater than two years.
WHAT IS SCULPTRA?
- Sculptra is often called the “liquid facelift” or “facelift in a bottle”.
- Sculptra is the only product that stimulates collagen growth providing a more natural appearance than temporary fillers.
- Sculptra is great for the patient who doesn’t want to look like they’ve had “work done”.
- Sculptra is the only product with a duration of up to two to five years.
- Sculptra is a more holistic approach to combating facial aging because it is the body’s natural collagen that is stimulated.
- Sculptra can be used proactively to slow down the aging process. By restoring lost collagen at an earlier age can keep aging too quickly at bay.
- Temporary fillers allow a patient to “rent” facial volume. Sculptra allows the patient to “own” their facial volume because of the stimulation of the body’s own natural collagen. Unlike temporary fillers, the effect of Sculptra remains after the product degrades.
- Sculptra provides very high patient satisfaction.
WHO IS A TYPICAL SCULPTRA CANDIDATE?
- If your skin appears “tired”, sunken, delflated or hollowed, then you are likely a Sculptra candidate.
- The nasolabial folds are derived from the downward migration of facial fat pads in the cheek area. If you have nasolabial folds, you are a Sculptra candidate.
- If your cheeks used to be more robust, you are a Sculptra candidate.
- If you have Hollow temples, you are a Sculptra candidate.
- If you have lost weight and your face appears too thin, you are a Sculptra candidate.
- If you have begun to see the initial sign of facial aging, ie: slight nasolabial folds, some hollowiness around the eyes, you are a Sculptra candidate.
HOW IT WORKS
Because Sculptra stimulates the body’s own natural collagen, it gives the physician an opportunity to truly sculpt the face, giving the patient the opportunity to have a say in the final restoration. Because it is a natural process, it takes a little time for the body to stimulate collagen. The physician will inject the first session and then wait four to six weeks to see just how you as an individual patient has responded. This ‘Treat, Wait, and Assess’ process helps you and your physician determine the exact amount of correction/restoration that is right for you.
Two to five years of facial restoration is derived from a series of injection sessions depending on the progression of facial aging. Again, by injecting over a number of sessions, it gives your physician the opportunity to give you just the result you want, and provide a more natural look. A point of reference in how many injection sessions are as follows:
A mild patient will need an average of two injection sessions, four to six weeks apart.
A moderate patient will need an average of 3 to 4 injection sessions four to six weeks apart.
A severe patient may need an average of 4 to 6 injection sessions four to six weeks apart.
Below is a good rule of thumb in understanding how many injection sessions are needed based on whether a patient is determined as mild, moderate or severe.
Initial signs of aging such as nasolabial folds, sunken eyes, beginning to see loss of robust/high cheeks/cheekbones.
Deepening nasolabial folds, wrinkling in the skin, loss of robust cheeks, lines around chin and above lips, hollowing in the lower cheeks, hollowing around the temples, may be ready for a mid-face lift but isn’t ready for a surgical procedure.
Deep hollows in lower cheeks, wrinkling, very thin face, loss of robust cheeks, hollowing around the temples giving a skeletonized appearance, may be a candidate for a full facelift but isn’t yet ready for a surgical procedure.
Sculptra is not very painful. The soft tissue is numbed with local anesthesia prior to the procedure and the needles are passed through only the frozen skin. Lidocaine is also added to the product before injection. There is no downtime and makeup can be worn on the way home from the injection. There is an unpredictable degree of bruising so one should also discontinue any medically unnecessary aspirin, NSAIDS and blood thinners prior to injection.
*Once the injection sessions are finished, patients will have two to five years of facial restoration. Once a patient begins to see signs of facial deterioration again, the entire session of injections will not be needed. A touch up with one or two vials may be all that’s needed.

What is Bellafill® and how is it unique?
Bellafill® is a smooth, collagen-based filler with PMMA microspheres. The PMMA re-creates the firm structure of younger-looking skin by supporting production of your body’s own collagen.
Bellafill® is a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) collagen gel filler:
- The collagen gel in Bellafill® provides immediate volume and lift.
- Over time, the collagen gel is absorbed by the body. The PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a matrix that supports production of the body’s own collagen for lasting correction.
- The microspheres in Bellafill® are half the diameter of a human hair, so small that they are virtually invisible to the eye. The microspheres are made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), one of the most widely used materials in medicine for 65 years.
How Bellafill® works
Bellafill® replaces lost volume in the skin below the wrinkle for results that are immediate and lasting.2 The injectable gel is comprised of 80% purified collagen gel and 20% PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres.
Bellafill® keeps on working
Bellafill® is different. It restores rather than just fills for natural, enduring results. In a clinical study, satisfaction and effectiveness were established through 5 years.
